In this video I’ll show you how plumbers install submeters in multi-unit residential apartment buildings. This is a group of buildings that only had one water meter for all the apartments of each building, dividing the water bill in equal portions, according to the number of apartments. Now, each individual apartment will know how much water it really consumes. This is important to create awareness on the need to control our use of water and specially in the need to repair water leaks in a timely manner – considering how neglectful people can be when they don’t relate costs to their own behaviour.
This is particularly important in times of climate change and growing draught in many regions.
